Students who hold a Spanish official master’s degree

Candidates must have an undergraduate degree or a degree explicitly declared as equivalent. Holders of the following Spanish qualifications are able to take a master’s degree course: diplomatura, arquitectura técnica, ingeniería técnica, licenciatura, arquitecto and ingeniería superior.

Students who hold a degree issued by an institution from the European Higher Education Area

Candidates are not required to have their degree recognised once the university has verified that the student’s degree enables them to pursue doctoral studies in the issuing country.

Students who hold a higher education degree in education systems outside the European Higher Education Area

Candidates are not required to have their degree recognised once the university has verified that the student’s degree enables them to access master’s degree programmes in the issuing country.

Those applying for access to a master’s degree and holding a non-recognised foreign qualification from an education system outside the European Higher Education Area must pay the official fee established by decree when applying for pre-registration. This payment is a pre-requisite for completing the pre-registration process.

Students who have partially completed master’s degree courses or doctoral studies within the legal framework previous to Royal Decree 1393/2007

Students who have taken master’s degree courses or doctoral studies within the legal framework previous to Royal Decree 1393/2007 can access master’s degree courses and obtain an official degree. Once they have been admitted, they can request the recognition of previously completed credits.
