Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to Lower Second Class on the UK Honour scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on the UK Honour scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
Entry requirements
- A good honours degree (2:2 or above) in Health and Social Care or a related area. In some exceptional cases, an unrelated degree is acceptable if you have a significant employment background. English and Maths at GCSE (grade C or above) or equivalent for Secondary (14-19). To have passed the government\'s skills tests in literacy and numeracy.
- A commitment to becoming the best teacher you can be, with a minimum of 10 days recent experience in a UK secondary school. If you cannot spend the full 10 days in a secondary school prior to application we can still consider your application as long as you have spent 5 days in a secondary classroom. If you are successful in being offered a place on the course the additional 5 days would be a condition of your offer and would need to be undertaken prior to starting on the course.
- Before you start the course you will need to have undertaken DBS and Health clearance through the University.
- Offers of a place on the programme are conditional, subject to successful completion of the Occupational Health clearance, Discolsure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance and completion of the Government Professional Skills Tests in Numeracy and Literacy.
English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
