Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to Lower Second Class on the UK Honour scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on the UK Honour scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
Applicants will possess a minimum 2:2 honours primary degree. The nature of the course allows for consideration of applications from a range of disciplines. Graduates of economics, geography, sociology, anthropology, business studies/commerce, hotel/hospitality/tourism management or languages (or in other programmes in which these disciplines form component parts) are most likely to be attracted to the programme. An interview may form part of the application process.
Applicants who cannot satisfy the minimum 2:2 honours primary degree requirement may also be accepted on the basis of relevant professional experience.
In the case of international students, applicants must hold a qualification that is equivalent to an Irish or UK honours bachelor\'s degree (NQAI level 8). To find out if you have the correct qualifications to apply for a programme at UL check the specific requirements for your home country.
Where candidates are non-native English language speakers, the candidate should meet the University\xc2\x92s English Language Requirements.
