You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.75 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
Admission Requirements
Applications for admission to the Master of Science (MS) in Physical Education Program in the Department of Specialized Programs in Education are made to the Graduate Admission Office. Admission is based on a comprehensive review of multiple criteria, including the following:
- A bachelor\xc2\x92s degree from an accredited institution.
- Undergraduate grade point average of 2.75.
- Completion of General Education Core prerequisites for teacher education programs (see below).
- Two (2) letters of recommendation addressing the applicant\xc2\x92s potential to succeed in the teaching profession and in graduate work.
- A brief typed statement indicating the applicant\xc2\x92s interest in the program, and identifying any previous physical education teaching experience or sport involvement.
- Interview with the graduate program director.
The faculty of the Department of Specialized Programs in Education recognize that any single criterion may not reliably predict a candidate\xc2\x92s potential for success in a graduate program and in the teaching profession. Accordingly, candidates are welcome to apply if they do not meet one of the criteria but believe that other aspects of their experience may compensate.
