Your required statement of purpose should be an essay of at least one page explaining past experiences, reasons for personal interest in graduate study in Physics and/or Astronomy, and any extra information you would like us to take into account to properly evaluate your application. We would particularly like to hear about your research experience and other interests and endeavors, especially insofar as they illustrate your independence, determination, and other qualities that lead to success in graduate school. Your specific fit with UNC Chapel Hill is also of interest.
