Academic Requirements

  • Very good knowledge of English, non-Native speakers need a language certificate (TOEFL or equivalent test results) as proof.

  • Successful participation in the intensive German language course offered before the first semester. Students with very good knowledge of the German language can get exempted from the Intensive Course.

  • A qualified Bachelor\'s degree in physics. The Bachelor\'s degree has to be equivalent to a B.Sc. degree in physics obtained at a German university with an above-average grade. The admission committee of the PHYSICS program will check the equivalency.
  • Applicants from China, Mongolia or Vietnam have to provide an original APS certificate (no photocopy) which is issued by the German embassy in your home country. Please check the homepage of the German embassy for details.
  • University entrance exam/nationwide placement test (if it does exist in your country).
  • High school degree/degree qualifying you to enter university.

English Proficiency: IELTS 6 or equivalent.
