  4. 30 points from courses in the Research Masters option listed in the Master of Planning Schedule
  5. Taught Masters
  6. 60 point Research Project
  7. 60 points from courses in the Taught Masters option listed in the Master of Planning Schedule.
  8. With the approval of the Head of School of Architecture and Planning, up to 30 points may be substituted from other 700 level courses at this University.
  9. A student admitted to this programme must complete the University of Auckland Academic Integrity Course as specified in the Enrolment and Programme Regulations, Academic Integrity, of the University Calendar.

Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

in order to be admitted to this programme, a student needs to have:

  • completed the requirements for the Degree of Bachelor of Planning or the Degree of Bachelor of Urban Planning (Honours) and achieved an average of B or higher in the courses taken for Part IV of that degree

or

  • gained an equivalent qualification, approved by Senate or its representative, that is indicative of ability to undertake advanced study in Planning, provided that the average grade in the final year of study was equivalent to B or higher.
You must have completed a bachelors degree with a GPA of 5.0 in Stage III courses relevant to your specialisation.

English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
