  • A Level AAB including Chemistry with a second Science or Maths. Science A-levels must include a pass in the practical element
  • International Baccalaureate\xc2\xa033 points including HL Chemistry at 6 and one other Science or Maths at 6
  • Scottish Advanced Highers\xc2\xa0AAB including Chemistry and one other Science subject
  • Irish Leaving Certificate\xc2\xa0AAAABB including Chemistry and one other Science subject
  • Access Course\xc2\xa0Pass Access to HE Diploma with Distinction in 36 credits at Level 3 and Merit in 9 credits at Level 3 including 12 Level 3 credits in Chemistry and 12 Level 3 credits in one other Science subject
  • BTEC\xc2\xa0DDD in Applied Science
  • European Baccalaureate\xc2\xa080% overall including 85% and 70% in Chemistry and one other Science subject

            Entry Requirement

            You are required to have Mathematics and English Language at a minimum of Grade B or Grade 5 or above at\xc2\xa0GCSE\xc2\xa0Level.

            Applicants without traditional A levels e.g. those with Access or\xc2\xa0BTEC\xc2\xa0qualifications, if they are successful at interview, will be asked to complete a chemistry test at the University during the Summer. Information concerning the content of the chemistry test will be made available to such applicants.

            A level retakes will only be considered if BCC or above was achieved in the first sitting and\xc2\xa0AAB\xc2\xa0is predicted in the retakes. We do not consider third sits of A-Levels for entry onto this\xc2\xa0programme.

            General Studies and Critical Thinking are not accepted.

            Please note, you will be required to fulfill additional paperwork to ensure you are able to participate in placements, information about this can be found in the intake section. The School of Study will lead you through this process following registration.
