Through a series of masterclasses this module will focus on genre and style. Taught by author-tutors you will encounter specialisms from across the spectrum of literary genres and forms. You will learn from their very different ways of writing and enhance your handling of these elements in your own work.
In this workshop you will focus on shaping and editing. You will regularly discuss your work with your tutors and peers and develop your handling of these aspects of writing. You’ll also further your capacity to re-draft both your own work and that of others. The workshops will be multi-genre in focus and taught by author-tutors who together can offer specialisms from across the spectrum of literary genres and forms.
This is a long-form piece of independent writing in any genre or form. You will submit an outline of your portfolio mid-way through the programme and then work on it throughout the programme before finally submitting it at the end.
