Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

The student must apply to, and meet all criteria for admission to the Graduate School. In addition to the general requirements of the Graduate School, a student must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 in upper-division undergraduate study, and submit official GRE scores.\xc2\xa0

The program employs an admission scoring system that awards M.A. applicants points based on the evaluation and scoring of four components:

  • upper-division undergraduate GPA;
  • scores on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE);
  • the quality of letters of recommendation; and
  • the quality of the applicant\xc2\x92s goal statement.

  • English Proficiency: IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.
