Course Structure
- A Plan of Study approved by the Director of Graduate Studies and the Graduate Dean must be filed in the Graduate College office before the student registers for the 12th semester hour.
- A student who earns more than two grades of C or lower in any graduate courses may be withdrawn from the program.

Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
- Completion of 12 hours of undergraduate social science coursework;
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test or GRE Revised General Test, no older than five years at time of application\xc2\xa0
- Two letters of recommendation that discuss the applicant\xc2\x92s abilities (college instructors strongly preferred);
- A personal statement (1-2 page essay regarding the student\xc2\x92s interest in political science and how the M.A. degree will benefit him or her);
- An undergraduate Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for all previously completed undergraduate university work.
English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
