Academic Requirements

Admission Requirements:

The department requires a four year Honours BA degree in Political Science with a minimum B+ (77-79%) Grade Point Average on their BA.

A methodology course is necessary for admission to the graduate program. Students not satisfying this requirement may be admitted with the provision that it be satisfied by completing the requisite extra course. Students are also expected to have an adequate working knowledge of a language in addition to English if that is needed for their particular course of study. Students with a MA in a field of Social Science other than Political Science are also encouraged to apply. If accepted, they will be expected to successfully complete additional qualifying courses during their first two semesters in the program.

English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
