Program Curriculum

The first two semesters consist of classroom teaching and exercises in the laboratory at the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology (NCNST), China in Beijing. The first semester introduces various tools and methods for the study of nanoscale systems.

You take the following courses:

• Unifying Concepts in Nanoscience (15 ECTS)

• Nanocharacterisation (10 ECTS)

• Nanobiotechnology (5 ECTS)

The second semester focuses on how to use models and methods on a theoretical and experimental scale, in other words, how to manipulate nanoscale systems to fit your purpose. You will also have exercises in the laboratory at (NCNST).

You take the following courses:

• Synthesis and Fabrication (10 ECTS)

• Nanoelectronics (5 ECTS)

• Bionanomaterials (5 ECTS)

• Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship (5 ECTS)

• Nano Energy Materials (5 ECTS)

You complete the programme by spending the third and fourth semesters doing your thesis (60 ECTS). Here you have the opportunity to immerse yourself and expand your knowledge in a field of your interest.

You are provided with guidance and a unique academic perspective by a Danish as well as a Chinese supervisor.

Your project will be carried out in collaboration with SDC’s research partners in Beijing, and you have the option to do your thesis in cooperation with a company.
