Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

All prospective students must:

  • Be registered as nurses overseas
  • Have at least one year\'s post-qualifying experience
  • Have academic qualifications to degree level (120 credits at levels 4, 5 and 6 equivalent)
  • Have achieved International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a score of 6.5

In addition those students wishing to undertake the Overseas Nurses Programme must:

Meet the NMC standards for registration a decision letter from the NMC will be required. Visit www.nmc-org for further details

Have achieved International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a score of 7. Students with a score greater than 6.5 but less than 7 can commence the Masters in Nursing Programme and access the Overseas Nurses Programme once they have achieved the IELTS of 7.

There is also a UK Boarder Agency requirement for all students to be PBS (Points Based System) registered and the University International Office will be able to assist with this process.

English Proficiency: IELTS 7 or equivalent.
