Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

- A minimum of 18 undergraduate hours in social science.
- Evidence of successful completion of an undergraduate statistics or research methods course.

This essay replaces the written statement requested as part of the application to the College of Graduate Studies.
- Three letters of recommendation from former professors or professionals in the field of public service that attest to the applicant\'s potential to succeed in the program.
- If the applicant is an international student for whom English is not the first language, a score of 550 on the written-based (or 213 on the computer-based) Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOFEL).
