Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
Candidates interested in a graduate degree program or MD/MSc program must complete and submit the School of Medicine application form and include the Graduate Addendum. Those applying for the DVM/MPH or DVM/MSc programs must complete a School of Veterinary Medicine application and the Graduate Addendum.
North American applicants:
- A Bachelors degree from a recognized university or college, with a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Work experience or a strong interest in public health
- Two letters of recommendation
British applicants:
- A first or second class degree
- Work experience or a strong interest in public health
- Two letters of recommendation
All other models of education:
- A Bachelors Degree, BSc or equivalent with a strong science background
- Work experience or a strong interest in public health
- Two letters of recommendation
- If English is not the applicant\'s principal language, the official record of a score of at least 600 (paper-based), 250 (computer-based) or 100 (internet-based) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or a 7.0 overall score in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
All documents must be in English or must have a certified English translation attached and must be originals or certified copies. In addition to the completed application, the following are required:

- Financial Information
- Undergraduate coursework: Official degree-bearing transcripts must be submitted by the undergraduate institution. For those applying before completion of the undergraduate program, current transcripts may be sent. Accepted students must then submit official degree-bearing transcripts.
- Other academic work: Official transcripts of graduate course work, other coursework or academic certificates from all other institutions attended must be submitted.
- Standardized Examination Scores: Official scores must be sent to the University by the testing agency. Though not required, good scores on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) will enhance an application.
- Official TOEFL or IELTS scores must be submitted if English is not your principal language.
- Two letters of recommendation, preferably from science professors.
- Essays: A personal statement with a maximum of 1500 words and an additional essay addressing an issue as stated on the graduate addendum are required. (Name must appear on each numbered page.)
English Proficiency: IELTS 7 or equivalent.
