Academic Requirements

  1. Complete a Degree Seeking Application Form. Apply using our online application and payment system.
  2. Provide official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate studies. Official transcripts are sent directly from the institution(s) to the Graduate School Office.
  3. Provide test scores from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). You are not required to take the subject test; however, you must have the results sent directly from Educational Testing Services (ETS). Exams more than 5 years old will not be considered by the admission committees and result in a request from the Graduate School Office for more up-to-date test results. Forward the scores to the Graduate School using 1519 as the Institution Code and 99 as the Department Code. Contact Graduate Record Examination for more information on examinations.
  4. Arrange for three (3) Admission Recommendation letters. Each Admission Recommendation letter needs to be accompanied by an Admission Recommendation Form (PDF) or via a request through the Graduate School. The letters and forms are to be completed and sent directly to the Graduate School Office.
  5. Provide evidence of competence in English, including official TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) examination scores (all international students). Official scores are sent directly from ETS to the Graduate School Office. Forward the scores to the Graduate School using 1519 as the Institution Code and 99 as the Department Code (general).
  6. Complete a personal statement.
