Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
All applicants must submit the results of their Graduate Record Examinations (GRE).
Foreign nationals must submit official test scores for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
The requirement for the TOEFL can be waived only for applicants who will have received a baccalaureate degree, or its foreign equivalent, prior to matriculation at Yale, from a university or college where English is the primary language of instruction.
Applicants must have studied in residence at the baccalaureate institution for at least three (3) years to receive the waiver. A waiver will not be granted on the basis of an advanced degree (M.A./M.S.or Ph.D) from any institution.
