Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.75 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
- Application form, statement of purpose, resume, official school transcripts (Bachelors degree), and three letters of recommendation sent directly to Graduate School with $30.00 application fee.
- Bachelors Degree with minimum 2.75 GPA on a 4-point scale
- Interviews with the Department of Rehabilitation Services\' Graduate Program Coordinator and Chair to answer questions, clarify expectations, and discuss career plans.
- By accepting admission into the Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling program, the graduate student agrees to: a) complete prerequisites, b) maintain a 3.0 GPA for all semesters, c) professional conduct in accordance with NRCA/ARCA Code of Ethics, local and state Laws. Failure to maintain a 3.0 GPA will result in a probationary period or termination as determined by the Department of Rehabilitation Services Graduate Committee.
- Admission is formally granted by letter from the Graduate Admissions Committee, Department of Rehabilitation Services.
