Academic Requirements
Admission requirements
Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent or a previous graduate degree in a rehabilitation discipline or related field from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on the University of Alberta 4-point grading system or an equivalent standing from another recognized institution during their last two years of full-time study.
Official copies of transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended in their original language (along with an official translation if those transcripts are not in English).
Scores from the Graduate Records Examination (GRE).
Proof of proficiency in English as a second language with a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 550 (paper-based) or a total score of 88 with a score of at least 20 on each of the individual skill areas (internet-based), the Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) with a score of 85 or better, the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum overall band score of 6.5 with at least 5 on each test band (Academic), the Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL) with an overall minimum score of 60 and with at least 60 on each subtest, or the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with an overall minimum score of 59.
