Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: 2.67

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.67 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

Applicants to the School Psychology program must hold a bachelor\'s degree from a regionally accredited college or university (or the international equivalent) and give promise of meeting the standards set by the School.

Students seeking admission must submit:
  • A Completed online application.
  • A Non-refundable $60 application fee paid by credit card.
  • A Professional Resume. Applicants are required to submit a current resume that includes employment and education history (submit online).
  • An Admission Essay. Students should describe why they want to undertake graduate studies in School Psychology (submit online).
  • Official transcripts verifying completion of an undergraduate degree demonstrating a cumulative GPA of at least 2.67 (or receive a GPA waiver from the department, available on a case by case basis). You must hold a bachelor\'s degree with an approved subject major or interdisciplinary major (All foreign transcripts must be evaluated by an approved evaluating service.)
  • Two Recommendation Forms and Letters, one of which must be, preferably, from a current employer or supervisor. The Recommendations are completed online. At the time of application you will need to provide yourtwo Recommender\'s names and email addresses.
  • Passing scores for the PRAXIS Core for Academic Skills (formerly Praxis I) test requirement or have this requirement waived based on appropriate SAT, ACT, GRE or PAA scores.
  • Participation in an Admission Interview.

English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
