Academic Requirements

The MA Programme is designed for students with a degree from the fields of philology, philosophy, sociology, psychology, or journalism (two semesters) and students with a degree from other study fields (three semesters). The prospective candidates for the MA Programme \xc2\x93Semiotics, Language and Advertising\xc2\x94 are accepted on the basis of their BA grades and an internationally recognized document (diploma or certificate) for at least B1 level of English (CEFR). The candidates who do not have an official language certificate must take a placement test. All students who satisfy the terms of acceptance must attend an interview. The goal of the interview is to assess the language and communicative skills of the candidates, their general knowledge and professional interest in the MA Programme.

The three-semester track for non-specialists includes an introductory module in the summer semester of the academic year, after which they join the Master\xc2\x92s programme for specialists. As subjects are taught in English, there is an intensive course in English open for all. If students already have a B2 level in English, they can enroll in an intensive course in Spanish instead. The programme encourages further specialization through a wide range of elective courses available.

English Proficiency: IELTS 5 or equivalent.
