With the announcement that the UK government intends to introduce a licensing regime for non-surgical cosmetic procedures, it is likely all aesthetic practitioners in the UK will need to provide evidence of their training credentials. Our course not only aligns with the Health Education England training framework for non-surgical cosmetic interventions, but goes beyond this to offer integrated knowledge and the application of critical skills enveloped within high quality professional behaviours. Graduates of this course will acquire a comprehensive knowledge base that can be applied to their future or current clinical practice.

Thiscourse is aimed at qualified medical and dental practitioners who want to gain a deep understanding of the evidence base of cosmetic medicine. Complement online theoretical learning with practical-laboratory workshops and hands-on clinical sessions with patient volunteers. Admission Requirements

Entry requirements

We require a medical or dental degree (eg MBBS, BDS, LDS, MBChB) or overseas equivalent from an institution that is recognised and approved by the UK General Medical Council (GMC) or the General Dental Council (GDC). No other applicants will be considered for this course. Please note we cannot consider applicants with a homeopathic or Ayurvedic medicine degree. You must also have been practicing in your field following graduation.

English language

International students must demonstrate English proficiency through a secure and approved testing system. We ask for English language proof if you are from non-majority English speaking countries (a list of majority English speaking countries, as defined by the UK Home Office, can be found here ). Specifically, we require a minimum of: IELTS: 7.0 overall with 7.0 in all components TOEFL: 100 overall with 25 in all components See further information about requirements for your country . We may also accept evidence of a confirmed place on a University Pre-sessional English language course , if your current IELTS scores are: Minimum 6.5 overall (with 6.5 in each component) plus enrolment and attendance on the 6-week pre-sessional course (PS6). Minimum 6.0 overall (with 6.0 in each component) plus enrolment and attendance on the 10-week pre-sessional course (PS10). Please note, we must approve this before you apply for the English course.

English language test validity

Some English Language test results are only valid for two years. Your English Language test report must be valid on the start date of the course.

Relevant work experience

You need to be able to demonstrate relevant work experience in your chosen pathway.

For entry in the academic year beginning September 2026, the tuition fees are as follows: MSc (part-time distance learning) UK students (per annum): £7,400 for year 1 and 2, and £3,700 for year 3 International, including EU, students (per annum): £15,120 for year 1 and 2, and £7,560 for year 3 PGDip (part-time distance learning) UK students (per annum): £7,400 for year 1 and 2 International, including EU, students (per annum): £15,100 for year 1 and 2 PGCert (part-time distance learning) UK students (per annum): £7,400 International, including EU, students (per annum): £15,100

The fees quoted above are fully inclusive of tuition, administration and computational costs. Fees for entry are subject to yearly review. The University reserves the right to increase your tuition fee by up to 7% each year for courses lasting more than one year, including to reflect rising costs associated with delivering our educational and wider student experience. Policy on additional costs

All students should normally be able to complete their programme of study without incurring additional study costs over and above the tuition fee for that programme.
