- one paper on a Slavonic language (not previously studied)
- either (i) three option papers, or (ii) two option papers and an essay of 5,000 to 7,000 words on a subject of your choice
- two further option papers
- a dissertation of 20,000-25,000 words on a subject of their own choice
- a\xa0viva voce\xa0examination
Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
Applicants are normally expected to be predicted or have achieved a first-class or strong upper second-class undergraduate degree (or equivalent international qualifications), as a minimum, in a relevant course of academic study. Degree-level competence in at least one Slavonic language is a requirement for admission. Applicants selected for this course will have shown clear evidence of linguistic ability and a serious interest in acquiring new knowledge and skills.
