Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

  • Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) - approved four-year training (or equivalent) from a recognised institution within the past 10 years
  • minimum grade point average (GPA) of 5.5 (on a 7-point scale) in the fourth-year program
  • two referee reports. Referees are required to comment on your academic and personal suitability and their overall level of support for your application

Applicants are shortlisted in priority order on the basis of their GPAs. Shortlisted applicants are required to attend an interview to assess their interpersonal skills in a clinical context. Admission is based on GPA, interview and referee reports.

You must submit the following by 30 September:

  • Completed F Form
  • Attached all relevant documents as requested in the F Form (eg academic transcript and award certificates)
  • Attach your Australian Psychological Society (APS) letter showing the assessment outcome of your Psychological Qualifications. The Australian Psychological Society (APS) assesses the level at which an applicant\'s overseas qualifications are comparable to an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) - accredited sequence of study in psychology.   • Attach your completed questionnaire
  • Attach two completed referee reports

You will be notified of the outcome late December or early January.
