Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to Upper Second Class on the UK Honour scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on the UK Honour scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
To apply for a MPhil or PhD subject to confirmation we normally expect you to have one of the following

\xc2\x95 a first or upper second class honours degree or equivalent
Direct PhD registration may be permitted if you hold a masters degree, or an overseas masters degree of equivalent standard, which
\xc2\x95 is postgraduate according to the UK Quality Assurance Agency\xc2\x92s National Qualifications Framework
\xc2\x95 included training in research and a research-based project report/dissertation or equivalent
If English is not your first language, you need an IELTS score of at least 7.0 and/or a TOEFL score of 600 (paper-based exercise) or 250 (computer-based exercise).
