Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to Upper Second Class on the UK Honour scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on the UK Honour scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
The normal minimum entry criteria is a 2:1 Honours degree in a relevant subject, such as social sciences, psychology, criminology, or health and social care, plus\xc2\xa0GCSE English Language and GCSE Mathematics at Grade C or Grade 4 or above (or equivalent).
An interview, written exercise\xc2\xa0and group-based task\xc2\xa0will form part of the selection process.
If you accept an offer from Edge Hill University, you will be required to complete a medical questionnaire. In exceptional circumstances you may need to have a medical examination in order to establish your medical fitness to enter the social work profession. Medical fitness to practice is a mandatory requirement for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
