Academic Requirements

Entry requirements 2017

The MA in Education and its constituent parts are normally offered to qualified professionals (usually in Education) and those with equivalent. Applicants shall normally hold a good first degree UK Upper Second Class Honours or above, have at least 3 months relevant experience or working in an educational setting or other relevant setting.

Some full-time specialisms require Disclosure & Barring Service checks and some modules require specific experience and/or current practice. Recent Exeter PGCE graduates can gain accelerated entry to the MA in Education.

University of Exeter graduates

University of Exeter PGCE and National Award for SEN Coordination programme and PCAP graduates who have successfully completed their qualification within three years of the start of their intended programme can gain accelerated entry to the MA Education programme.

IELTS (Academic)

Overall score 6.5. No less than 6.0 in any section.

TOEFL IBT*

Overall score 90 with minimum scores of 21 for writing, 21 for listening, 22 for reading and 23 for speaking.

Pearson Test of English (Academic)

58 with no less than 55 in all communicative skills.
