Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
A 3.0 overall undergraduate GPA and a GRE of at least 1000 are recommended for admission into the Statistics program.
For a final admissions decision, GRE scores do not constitute the sole criterion for consideration of the applicant, nor do GRE scores and undergraduate GPA constitute the primary criteria to end consideration of an applicant. Based on review of a student\xc2\x92s undergraduate transcript, the Department of Mathematics and Statistics may require completion of undergraduate stem courses as a condition for admission. International students must submit a TOEFL score of at least 550 paper-based or 79 iBt or 6.5 IELTS.

Prerequisites
The prerequisites for the master\'s degree program in statistics consist of calculus series, linear algebra and calculus based statistics.
Applicants who do not have all the prerequisites for full admission into the graduate program may be conditionally admitted and will be required to complete the prerequisite courses after entry into the program. Students should have completed all the prerequisite courses to be considered for teaching or graduate assistantships.
