GPA admission requirement
Minimum GPA requirements for graduate degrees are:
- Master\xc2\x92s programs typically require applicants to have completed a bachelor\xc2\x92s/baccalaureate (or equivalent) with high standing. High standing can be defined as honours, specialization, a GPA of at least 3.00, or other. It is always recommended to verify the requirements of specific programs.
Language proficiency
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): The minimum acceptable score for the internet-based TOEFL (TOEFL iBT) is 90 and no part under 20 (for the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science 85 and no part under 20)
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS): The minimum band score for IELTS is 6.5 and no part under 6.5.
- Pearson Test of English (PTE): The minimum acceptable score for the PTE is 61 or higher and no part under 53 (Faculty of Engineering & Computer Science: 57 or higher and no part under 53)
- Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL): The minimum acceptable score for the CAEL is 70
- Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) & Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE):
- The minimum acceptable score for the CAE is: A or 190
- The minimum acceptable score for the CPE is: C
