Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

The following bachelor degrees qualify for admission to the master\xc2\x92s programme in Urban Design (civilingeni\xc3\xb8r, cand.polyt. i urbant design), specializing in either Urban Architecture or Mobilities and Urban Studies:

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Engineering (Architecture and Design) from AAU (bachelors with a legal claim for admission to a master\xc2\x92s programme in direct continuation of their bachelor studies)
  • Bygningsdesign (bachelor), DTU
  • Bygningsdesign (diplomingeni\xc3\xb8r), DTU
  • By-, Energi- og Milj\xc3\xb8planl\xc3\xa6gning (bachelor), AAU

Applicants with an equivalent Danish or foreign degree at a similar level may be admitted subject to individual assessment by the study board. If your bachelor degree does not qualify directly for admission to the master\xc2\x92s programme, the Admissions Office will forward your application for approval by the relevant study board.

Aalborg University expects that admission to this programme will be restricted. The restricted admission means that not all applicants who apply on time and fulfil the admission requirements are assured of a student place on the programme.

Furthermore please note the official language requirements for international students applying to Aalborg University are:
