Academic Requirements

A successful applicant for admission to the Master of Animal Science will:

  • hold a bachelor\xc2\x92s degree or higher award with a minimum credit average from the University of Sydney, or equivalent qualification, in veterinary science, animal science or agriculture; or
  • have completed the requirements of an embedded graduate certificate or graduate diploma in this discipline from the University of Sydney, or equivalent qualification.
It is assumed that applicants have statistics knowledge at an undergraduate level.

English language requirements

IELTS: A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.5 in each band TOEFL paper-based: A minimum result of 592 overall including a minimum result of 5.0 in Writing TOEFL IBT: A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 20 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 22 in Writing

English Proficiency: IELTS 7 or equivalent.
