Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
- It is not necessary for applicants to have prior teaching experience or coursework in education, although prior work with children or adolescents is expected. Once applicants have submitted an application, selected applicants will be invited to interview with the appropriate faculty director. While in-person interviews are preferred, it is possible to arrange Skype or phone interviews. See below for specific program requirements. Prospective applicants with questions about their coursework or academic background are urged to contact the appropriate faculty director.

- Personal statement: Your personal statement should not exceed 2 typewritten single-spaced pages.
- 3 recommendations: At least one recommendation from a professor is required. Others can be written by an education-related supervisor, an employer or someone who can speak to your experience working with children or adolescents.
- Official GRE General Test scores
- Writing sample (Secondary English applicants only): Your writing sample should be an academic paper or section of a paper and should not exceed 5 double-spaced typewritten pages.
English Proficiency: IELTS 7 or equivalent.
