Course Structure
- Learner Identity and Diversity: Increase student\x92s capacity to respond positively to diversity; to understand the importance of learner identity in student engagement in learning and to critically evaluate policies and practices to that end. Students will critically evaluate evidence from the field of practice as well as research evidence.
- Teaching and Assessment: Provides a critical and reflective space for sharing and developing students\x92 knowledge, skills and awareness of the processes of teaching, facilitating and assessing learning in post-compulsory contexts.
- Professional Practice: Enables students to critically examine their role as a professional teacher in Further Education and to identify areas of their practice that could be changed to improve the learning experiences of their students.

You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to Upper Second Class on the UK Honour scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on the UK Honour scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
Academic requirements
- A minimum of a second class honours degree (2.1 preferred) or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Candidates must also have both literacy and numeracy skills which meets the demands of the course.
- A National Qualification Course award in English at level 6 on the SCQF (or suitable evidence of being able to attain this standard) or SQA communication level III.
- A National Qualification Course award in numeracy or Mathematics at level 4 on the SCQF (or suitable evidence of being able to attain this standard).
English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
