Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: Upper Second Class

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to Upper Second Class on the UK Honour scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on the UK Honour scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

The minimum entry requirement is a 2:2 honours primary degree (Level 8 -\xc2\xa0National Qualifications Authority of Ireland)\xc2\xa0in a relevant discipline (for example, business/commerce or law) or the overseas equivalent as determined by the Programme Team in consultation with University of Limerick Graduate School Admissions.\xc2\xa0\xc2\xa0Where English is not the first language of candidates, certified demonstrable achievement in TOEFL English Competency Test will be required.\xc2\xa0 In exceptional circumstances an applicant who cannot satisfy the undergraduate requirement may be accepted on the basis of relevant professional experience.\xc2\xa0 Candidates may be interviewed as part of the selection process to determine their suitability for the programme.
