Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: Lower Second Class

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to Lower Second Class on the UK Honour scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on the UK Honour scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

Applicants should normally hold a 2.2 or better honours degree in Drama, Performance, Applied Theatre, Scriptwriting or other relevant discipline, or equivalent qualifications.

As part of this application students will be required to submit a 500 word statement explaining the proposed focus of their study in terms of specialism (e.g. applied theatre, scriptwriting, contemporary performance practice) and outlining how that might build towards a final project.

Applicants will then be invited to interview and or audition as appropriate to their application

Applicants not based in the UK are not required to attend an interview. However, we may conduct an interview via Skype, and the decision to offer a place will be based on this interview along with the completed application form, and where relevant a videoed audition.

English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
