Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
An applicant for admission shall hold the equivalent of an academic bachelor\xc2\x92s degree from a recognized academic higher education institution, corresponding to at least 180 ECTS (6 semesters), in a subject relevant to the topic of the programme. Applicants with already a master degree in a subject relevant to the topic of the programme will also be considered. Applicants for the Digital Technology and Management track should have a bachelor or master degree within development and/or management of Information and Communication Technologies (i.e. computer science, engineering and/or business administration and/or Economics). Applicants for the Digital Communication, Policy and Innovation in Europe, should have a bachelor or master degree in communication or other disciplines of social sciences. Perspective candidates should also note that relevant work experience in the field of digital communication or media, will also be considered. Furthermore, in judging whether a particular diploma or work experiences is relevant to the topic of the programme, the selection commission will take into consideration the motivation letter.
English Proficiency
Unless English is their mother language, applicants must demonstrate their English proficiency. This can be done through the following tests and diplomas:
- IELTS (academic test): minimum average score 6.5
- TOEFL (paper-based): 560
- TOEFL (internet-based, or iBT): 88
- Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency (CPE), Grades A, B, or C
- Certificate in Advanced English (CAE), Grades A, B, or C
- Cambridge First Certificate with the grade A or B.
The period between the proficiency test or diploma and the application should not exceed two years. For applicants who already completed a Bachelor\xc2\x92s Degree or another University Degree that was entirely held in English, from an institution based in either Australia, the UK, Ireland, USA, New Zealand, South Africa or Canada, this counts as sufficient demonstration of their English proficiency. A bachelor\xc2\x92s degree or a university degree entirely held in English from other institutions are not considered as proof of English proficiency.
