Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
To\xc2\xa0apply now\xc2\xa0for the MA\xc2\xa0in Theology, you\xc2\xa0need
- a bachelor\xc2\x92s degree with a minimum GPA of\xc2\xa03.0
- nine credit hours of\xc2\xa0theology
If you do not have nine credit hours of theology, you may be admitted on a probationary status and allowed to take these courses at Creighton. You\xc2\x92ll need to earn at least a B\xc2\xa0average.
Test Score\xc2\xa0Requirements
Applicants should also have Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores of at least 153 on the verbal section of the exam. Applicants can be admitted on probationary status for GRE scores from 149-152. GRE scores from the last 10 years are accepted. If you took the GRE in the old format, then you are required to have GRE scores of at least 500 on the verbal section. The Graduate School requires all students from countries in which English is not the native language to demonstrate competence in English by a score of 550 in the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) examination or 80 on the Internet-based Test (iBT) at the graduate\xc2\xa0level.
