Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
- four-year Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Arts honours in Linguistics, language studies or language teaching (e.g., English, Spanish, German, French, Russian, Modern Languages). Students with backgrounds in other cognate areas (psychology, English, social sciences, computer science, mathematics, and others) are also encouraged to apply;
- the minimum of 12 cu in Linguistics or a closely related area is required
- A cumulative weighted average of at least 70% (U of S grade system equivalent) in the last two years of study (e.g. 60 credit units)
- Proof of English language proficiency may be required for international applicants and for applicants whose first language is not English
