- A university honours degree (first or upper second class) in biology/zoology with preference being given to those who have worked with wild animals and/or in conservation and have received, inter alia, training in microbiology, parasitology and pathology.
- Entry to the PG Diploma: Entry to PG Diploma will be open to candidates who have successfully completed the PG Certificate (Wild Animal Biology).
- Entry to the MSc: Entry to the final stage of MSc (Wild Animal Biology) will be open to those candidates who have successfully completed the PG Diploma (Wild Animal Biology
