Program Overview
In the interdisciplinary master's degree program in Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen / Industrial Engineering and Management, you will deepen and supplement the academic qualifications you acquired in the bachelor's degree in an individual way - in the subjects of business administration, economics, computer science, operations research and engineering. The standard period of study is 4 semesters and you will earn 120 credit points (CP) according to ECTS.
In the compulsory area, the program focuses on expanding your technical and methodological skills in the fields of business administration and engineering, while in the compulsory elective area you will sharpen your personal profile by choosing your own specializations in the above-mentioned range of subjects and/or additionally in statistics, law or sociology, for example.
The Seminar Module with two optional non-subject-specific seminars and other courses in the area of Interdisciplinary Qualifications also contribute to the development of your individual profile. In the final semester, you will complete your studies with your master's thesis.
The study program does not include a compulsory internship. You can complete a voluntary internship during your studies. If it serves the objectives of your studies and covers at least half of the lecture period, you can apply for a semester off (leave of absence). Such an internship offers you valuable experience outside the university and can make it easier for you to start your career later on.

Admission Requirements
The requirements for admission to the master's degree program in Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen / Industrial Engineering and Management are based on the current admission regulations:
• bachelor's degree
a bachelor's degree or at least an equivalent degree from a university, university of applied sciences, university of cooperative education or a foreign university in a business administration, economics, engineering or computer science degree program
• minimum knowledge and minimum achievements in the areas of
mathematics and/or statistics amounting to 20 credit points (CP)
• mathematics and/or statistics amounting to 20 credit points (CP)
For applicants who are among the top 10 percent of their graduating class, proof of at least 15 credit points in mathematics and/or statistics is sufficient.
If the qualifying bachelor's degree program is not a degree program in industrial engineering, information systems, business mathematics or digital economics, the following are also required
• at least 20 CP in engineering and/or computer science subjects and
• at least 20 CP in economics subjects
For applicants who are among the top 10 percent of their graduating class, proof of at least 15 credit points is also sufficient here.

Financial Aid & Scholarships
