About This Scholarship

The Amazon Conservation Association works in partnership with indigenous communities in Peru, Bolivia, and Brazil to protect Amazonian forests and biodiversity. The ACA's scholarship and fellowship programme supports indigenous community members to access environmental science education, natural resource management training, and conservation research opportunities. The programme recognises that indigenous knowledge systems are essential to effective conservation and that indigenous-led conservation efforts are among the most effective globally. Fellows are mentored by ACA scientists and contribute to ongoing research programmes.
