About This Scholarship
The Lao People's Democratic Republic administers state scholarships for Laotian students to study at domestic universities including the National University of Laos and at overseas institutions primarily in Vietnam, Thailand, China, Cuba, and Russia. Japan's ODA programme provides MEXT scholarships specifically for Lao students. The World Bank's Higher Education Development Project has supported capacity building at Lao universities. ADB scholarships through the Japan Scholarship Programme are also available for Lao students at Asian universities.
