About This Scholarship
The Max Planck Society operates over 60 International Research Schools (IMPRS) across Germany in partnership with neighbouring universities. Each IMPRS offers fully funded doctoral positions in specialised research fields from astrophysics and biophysics to social sciences and cultural studies. Fellows receive a competitive stipend and are embedded in world-class research groups led by Max Planck directors. Many programmes offer English-language instruction and are internationally competitive.
