Muscular Dystrophy UK funds research to develop treatments and improve the lives of people with muscle-wasting conditions. The MDUK PhD Studentship provides full funding including stipend, tuition, and research costs for doctoral researchers studying the molecular mechanisms, clinical manifestations, and therapeutic approaches to muscular dystrophies. Postdoctoral Research Awards are available for early-career researchers. The MDUK Research Committee oversees rigorous peer review of all applications, and recipients join a community of muscle disease researchers at leading UK institutions.
