About This Scholarship

The Pew Charitable Trusts administers the Pew Marine Conservation Fellowship, recognising outstanding individuals working on marine conservation and ocean policy. Fellows receive two years of full financial support ($150,000 total) to pursue self-directed projects addressing critical ocean conservation challenges. Past fellows have worked on overfishing, plastic pollution, marine protected areas, and deep-sea mining regulation. The programme has supported over 140 fellows from 28 countries since 1990. Selection is by nomination from a global network of marine conservation experts.
