About This Scholarship
Schmidt Science Fellows supports exceptional PhD graduates to pursue a postdoctoral fellowship in a pivot to a new field of science. The aim is to foster interdisciplinary scientific leaders who can solve complex global challenges. Fellows receive a stipend of $100,000 per year for one year (with possible renewal) to work at a world-leading laboratory in a completely different discipline from their PhD. Fellows also participate in leadership development and seminars on global challenges.
