About This Scholarship

The United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues offers a limited number of fellowship placements for Indigenous peoples to attend sessions of the Permanent Forum in New York and to engage with UN human rights mechanisms. Participants gain direct experience in international advocacy, policy negotiation, and human rights law. The UNPFII fellowship is open to Indigenous peoples' organisations from around the world. The Voluntary Fund for Indigenous Peoples also administers travel grants for Indigenous representatives to access UN human rights bodies.
