The University of Central Asia, established by the Aga Khan Development Network and the governments of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan, provides merit scholarships for exceptional students from mountain communities in Central Asia. The UCA scholarship targets the most talented students from rural and mountain areas who would otherwise lack access to quality higher education. Programmes are offered in earth and environmental sciences, business administration, and arts and sciences at UCA's campuses in Naryn (Kyrgyzstan), Khorog (Tajikistan), and Tekeli (Kazakhstan).
