About This Scholarship
The Government of Nepal administers overseas scholarships for outstanding Nepali students to pursue postgraduate education in India, China, Russia, and other countries. The Ministry of Education also administers the Dr. Harka Bahadur Gurung Scholarship for Nepali students in geography and natural sciences. Nepal receives significant bilateral scholarship support from India, China, the US (Fulbright-Nepal), Japan (MEXT), and various international organisations. The Nepal Academy of Science and Technology provides domestic research scholarships.
